Biography:
A mother of two, entrepreneur, and community advocate, Serena brings extensive cross-sector experience spanning hospitality, import & export, branding and marketing, business development, and the not-for-profit sector. She has also worked as an advisor in the government sector and supported campaigns for Members of Parliament, giving her a strong understanding of policy, community engagement, and strategic communication.

As a former hotel professional, Serena has years of experience at top tier hotels in both Melbourne and Tianjin.

As an entrepreneur, Serena founded the Melbourne-designed baby clothing brand Lūmmi in 2016, known for its monochromatic, unisex designs made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. In 2023, the brand expanded with the launch of Lūmmi in Colour, offering a broader range of babywear and accessories. By 2025, Lūmmi in Colour is stocked in major cities across Australia, as well as in New Zealand and Singapore.

Serena studied her MBA at Peking University and co-founded a charity foundation that promoted gap year concept and helped youths to explore the world.

As a committee member of ACCCIA, Serena’s goal is to connect and assist Asian Entrepreneurs and business professionals wherever she could. She is also President of Kew Toy Library, and member of the North Balwyn Rotary Club.

Passionate, adventurous and full of energy are some labels on Serena. She climbed the Kilimanjaro for her 30th birthday and rides a Harley Davidson.
