Privacy Policy Statement
The Financial Executive Club ("the Club") is committed to protecting your privacy. The Club aims to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("the Ordinance") of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This Privacy Policy Statement explains the Club's practices regarding the collection, use, sharing, and protection of members' personal data.

A. Types of Personal Data Collected
To carry out its operations and provide services, events, and networking opportunities, the Club may collect personal data that can identify you as an individual ("Personal Data"). Such Personal Data may include:

Professional information such as job title, company affiliation, and financial executive credentials. Such information may be directly obtained from members' Linkedin profile, please write to members@finexclub.org if you do not wish the Club to use your Linkedin information;

If you provide Personal Data of other individuals (e.g., guests or referrals), you must obtain their consent before sharing their data with the Club. The Club may request supporting documentation for such consent where necessary.

Provision of certain Personal Data marked as mandatory (e.g., with asterisks in forms) is required. Failure to provide such data may prevent the Club from processing your membership application, providing services, or facilitating participation in Club activities.

B. Purposes of Collecting Personal Data
For members, Personal Data may be used for:

C. Direct Marketing

Your consent (including an indication of no objection) is required for such use. You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by notifying us (see "Enquiries" section below) or indicating your preference when providing your data.

Personal Data is kept confidential but may be disclosed to:

The Club implements appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration, including secure storage systems, access controls, and encryption where appropriate. However, no system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

F. Data Retention
Personal Data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Upon termination of membership, data will be retained for a reasonable period to address outstanding matters and then securely erased or anonymized unless legally required to be retained.

G. Access to and Correction of Personal Data
Under the Ordinance, you have the right to request access to your Personal Data held by the Club and to correct any inaccuracies. A reasonable fee may be charged for processing data access requests.

H. Changes to This Policy
The Club may update this Privacy Policy Statement to reflect changes in practices or legal requirements. Revisions will be posted on the Club's website or notified to members where appropriate. Continued use of Club services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
